Hal Parkerson serves as in-house legal counsel at Commenda Capital, LLC. For more than twenty years Mr. Parkerson has in private law practice focusing on corporate financing transactions, acquisitions, contract negotiations, capital acquisitions, creditor matters and other business issues. More recently Mr. Parkerson was responsible for portfolio management of a medical imaging equipment transactions, business partner receivables and inventory finance at IBM Credit Corporation.
At Chrysler Capital Corporation and Mr. Parkerson was Vice President, General Counsel and Secretary. At Equilease Corporation, he served in similar capacities for this commercial and industrial finance subsidiary of Allied-Signal Corporation (now Honeywell). During his career, he has also served as Senior Vice President managing the Corporate Finance and Capital Markets division of Chrysler Capital Corporation, a group that invested between $5 to $50 Million in commercial real estate transactions.
During his career, Mr. Parkerson served as Executive Vice President, Secretary and General Counsel for the 3 ½ billion OR IX Financial Services, Inc. where he managed and directed all the legal affairs of the Company, including the Company’s capital markets activities. Mr. Parkerson has handled more than one thousand commercial litigation cases in state, federal and bankruptcy courts throughout the United States. Mr. Parkerson served on the ORIX Board of Directors and the Executive Committee and was a trustee of its pension plan.
Mr. Parkerson holds a JD from Columbia University and a BBA in Accounting from Emory University. The bulk of his career was spent in the New York City area before coming to Atlanta in 2001. He is licensed to practice law in Georgia, Pennsylvania and New York. Mr. Parkerson is a FINRA registered Representative with Commenda Securities.
